Thiruvananthapuram: The crime branch will probe the recent irregularities in Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) examination. Kerala DGP Loknath Behera issued a directive to crime branch to register a case and probe the matter.
The PSC on Wednesday had submitted a letter to the DGP seeking investigation into the irregularities. On Wednesday, PSC chairman M.K Sakeer had met Loknath Behera. Following the meeting, it was decided to let crime branch investigate the matter.
The case will be investigated by the Thiruvananthapuram crime branch unit. The crime branch chief will decide if a special team is required for the investigation.
Shivaranjith, Naseem and Pranav, former leaders of Students Federation of India (SFI) in University college are the accused in the case. Those who sent mobile phone text messages to the trio will also be named as accused in the case.
