Aluva: The Crime Branch of Kerala Police has submitted the enquiry report on the murder conspiracy case related to the 2017 actress sexual assault case. It contains all the evidence collected by CB so far. The report was submitted to the Aluva Judicial First Class Magistrate's Court.

More number of people have been charged in the report. IT expert Sai Sankar, who allegedly helped actor Dileep to clear the data in the former's phone before submitting them to the court, is also an accused. Even though the actor's advocates are not listed as accused, the report narrates how did they allegedly help to destroy evidence.

The actor has asked the HC to squash the case. The verdict on the plea is expected soon. A call for handing over the case to CBI is also on. The move of the Crime Branch comes amidst this.

The new case was registered based on the 'revelations' of director Balachandra Kumar that Dileep conspired to murder the investigating officers of the 2017 case. Dileep was questioned several times by the CB. His phones were analysed. A car was recently taken into custody.

Meanwhile, the survivor of the sexual assault filed a complaint with the BAR against the advocates of Dileep seeking action for destroying evidence. Though she had earlier submitted a complaint via e-mail, the BAR demanded a physical copy after paying Rs 2,500 as a fee.
