Vehicle rams Inspector's car; attacked for

Kollam: A crime branch inspector was injured in an attack unleashed by three persons at Chirakkara Govt High School Junction, Paripally. Biju, a native of Paravur, Kollam, who is an inspector at the Thiruvananthapuram Crime Branch, was injured in the attack on Sunday evening.

The inspector questioned the car driver who rammed the car with the Inspector’s vehicle. Congress leader N Jayachandran and Neduvathur Gram Panchayat member, along with the locals, helped the Inspector and took him to a nearby house. But the attackers continued to attack him.

The inspector was rushed to the Paripally Medical College Hospital by Paripally Inspector Al Jabbar and Sub-Inspector Anuroopa. Police arrested Poothakulam Manu (33), Rajesh (34) of ‘Karthika’ and Ramamangalath Pratheesh (30). Police filed a case under non-bailable section.
