Pathanamthitta: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has alleged that certain individuals linked with RSS are trying to gain important positions in the Kerala police. Kodiyeri stated that the police association leaders are wishing to get an appointment as personal staff to the ministers. He was addressing a public discussion at the CPM Pathanamthitta district conference on Wednesday.
Kodiyeri’s remark came in the backdrop of the statement issued by CPI leader Annie Raja over alleged links between police officials and Sangh Parivar members. Meantime, the delegates at the conference also opined that Sangh Parivar sympathisers are increasing in the police department.
Police officials who support CPM are reluctant to work in positions like station writer. They focus on getting an appointment as personal staff to any of the ministers, Kodiyeri pointed out.
He also said that sectarianism will not be accepted in the party in the wake of the party's organisational report.
At the same time, he said that the first Pinarayi government should not be compared with the present government. The media has corrected their previous statements about Pinarayi, he added.
