CPM will win 80 seats in assembly polls, reports district committees
The survey by CPM revealed that LDF will retain power in the assembly polls. It is reported that CPM will definitely win 80 seats.
Reports claim that upto 95 seats is likely to be won. CPM has revealed the status of winning seats after examining the reports from district committees.
Many constituencies witnessed a tight competition which was above expectation. At the same time, there are many constituencies where the result is unpredictable.
Compared to the previous polls, BJP showcased an impressive campaign in booth levels.
In Thrissur, BJP deployed their workers in some booths where UDF has no agents. It is observed that UDF will face a setback if BJP obtains good number of votes.
But reports from the districts observed that BJP’s active campaign has resulted in the tight competition in the assembly polls.
North Kerala to favour LDF
The party hopes to retain power in the sitting seats of Kasaragod, Kozhikode and Wayanad. In Kannur, Azhikode and Peravoor seats are expected to favour the LDF. The party also included UDF sitting seat Sulthan Bathery among the seats which will be won in Wayanad.
Though the party examined chances of victory in Kozhikode’s Vadakara, a sabotage is also expected here.
Uncertainity over winning Thrissur seat
In Thrissur, the district leadership expressed hope to obtain power in seats including Wadakancherry. Meanwhile, the party is not confident about winning Thrissur constituency where Padmaja Venugopal and Suresh Gopi are the opponents.
Palakkad district committee reported that LDF’s MB Rajesh is likely to win Thrithala seat with a margin of at least 3000 votes.
In Ernakulam, CPM is expecting a massive victory in Kalamassery. But the party is still skeptical of this seat.
At the same time, CPM expects to win 4 seats in Kottayam. Meanwhile, constituencies, except Harippad in Alappuzha, are likely to favour CPM.
