CPM will intervene in favour of Maradu flat owners: Kodiyeri Balakrishnan
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said that the Supreme Court order to demolish the flats in Maradu is one that creates practical difficulties.
Taking to his official Facebook account to respond on the matter, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that CPM would intervene in the matter in favour of the flat owners.
“The residents of Maradu flats did not violate the rules. But they are the ones who are being evicted. The government should take all steps to help these residents. There must be stringent action against those who violated the rules,” the CPM state secretary said.
“We uphold the demand to take strong action against the violators. If there is no alternative but to demolish the flats according to the apex court order, there must be an understanding on matters including the rehabilitation of the residents. A humanitarian stance must be followed in the matter,” Kodiyeri Balakrishnan added.
