Thiruvananthapuram: The smoke of rift between two major constituent parties in LDF is fuming as CPM mocked at the CPI in its activity report put out as part of CPM party conference held in Thiruvananthapuram. Attacking and criticising CPI, the activity report said that the party which can’t even win a panchayat ward, is exhibiting confidence of defeating CPM in many parts of the district.
The activity report points out that though CPI comes second to CPM in the district, it has no relevant influence. The report also alleges that CPI is trying to attract those who are dissatisfied with CPM. But on the contrary, people are coming to CPM, the report claimed. According to the report, in the left front Kerala Congress(M), Janata Dal have workers in district while the influence of RSP is not noteworthy. CPM’s activity report also criticised insider A Sampath for not involving in organizational activities of the party.
Meanwhile, according to the report, UDF and especially IUML has influence in the district. It added that PFI, SDPI and Welfare Party are making influence in the district through communal extremism and palliative care interventions.
