Kochi: When Thrikkakara bypoll rounds the corner, opposition leader VD Satheesan has come out with serious allegations against CPM. He alleged that CPM will try to sabotage the bypoll at any cost.
“CPM has declared that they will not allow the people who are named in the voters’ list to exercise their adult franchise. Hence, they have been trying to sabotage the by-election. Ministers and leaders who arrived in Thrikkakara also misused their power. They are trying to win votes by taking decisions in various matters,” alleged Satheesan.
At the same time, he also warned CPM not to engage in election fraud.
“ We will not allow CPM to win the by-poll through election fraud by casting votes of deceased and those who are out of station. UDF will hand over a list of these voters to the presiding officer. We will defend the attempts to sabotage the election,” he added.
The opposition leader also expressed hope for UDF’s victory in the election.
“ Uma Thomas will defeat LDF candidate PT Thomas with the highest victory margin,” pointed out Satheesan.
