Thriuvananthapuram: The CPM has decided to implement a code of conduct for ministers' staff. The decision was taken after finding out that the party is losing hold on the government. A meeting of the important staff of the ministers will be held soon.
Earlier, the party had proper control over the staff of the ministers. However, this started declining later and resulted in complaints. Following this, the party decided to convene a meeting on July 23. CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has called the meeting of private secretaries of the ministers.
In the backdrop of the gold smuggling case, the party has decided to make strict interventions in the coming days. Complaints had arisen in the party secretariat meeting that the chief minister's former principal secretary Sivasankar and other officials took decisions on their own. Based on this allegations, the meeting of private secretaries was convened.
