Thiruvananthapuram: CPM plans to strengthen its door-to-door campaign strategy to earn support for the SilverLine project in the state.
Earlier, similar campaigns in areas where SilverLine project may pass failed to meet the desired impact. Following this, the CPM state committee decided to extend their campaigns to all households in Kerala. Additionally, the 'Nava Kerala Action Plan', adopted by the party will also be part of the campaign.
'Nava Kerala Action Plan' is addressed during the campaign to let people be aware of the developmental initiatives of the government. Earlier, leaders were greeted with protest during the door-to-door campaign for the SilverLine project in project-affected areas. Therefore, the new campaign will only discuss K-Rail while addressing Nava Kerala Action Plan.
CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that campaigns in the state will be completed by May 30. He added that ministers, senior leaders and local party representatives will visit households in the project-affected areas.
Meanwhile, the Nava Kerala action plan approved by the party will be discussed in all District Committees in the presence of all state secretariat members. Further, the topic will be discussed in the local area committees by the state secretariat members.
