Alappuzha: The CPM will seek clarification from MLA U Prathibha who took to Facebook to express her dissatisfaction over the 'non-discussion' of the alleged 'leaking' of the votes in the Assembly elections in the Kayamkulam constituency.
Alappuzha CPM district secretary R Nazar said that the statement of Prathibha is nonfactual and anti-organisational. The party has never said that there were attempts to defeat her. She should have said this in the party forum, he said.
Prathibha had also said that though some leaders disliked her, the common workers of the party stood with her.
She alleged that a local media person who tried to defeat her was inducted into the hospital management committee as directed by the CPM area committee. When the dip in the vote share in the Ambalappuzha constituency was a hot topic, no one discussed Kayalmkulam, where more votes did not get polled.
The MLA also said that the leaders who make moves against her will soon be thrown into 'the dustbin'.
