Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM plans to conduct different programs in connection with the Ramayana observance month. The programme includes seminars and lectures explaining the social background of Ramayana.
The party has also decided to hold a meeting of the temple committee members to avoid BJP taking control of temple undertakings.
But critics observe this new change in party principles as the CPM's new agenda of blending with the changing social situation.
The Ramayana observance month will be organized by the Sanskrit Sangh on behalf of the party.
The state-level seminar will be held on July 25. Lectures and discussions will be conducted widely in all districts.
Dr Sunil P Ilayidom will preside over the seminar to be conducted in Alappuzha.
