Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state committee decided on Saturday to invite DMK leaders to the protest against governor Arif Mohammed Khan.
The ruling DMK alliance in Tamil Nadu is also having a tough time with governor RN Ravi. Recently, it had sought support from its partners, including CPM, to seek the removal of Ravi.
CPM has planned a protest gathering in front of the Raj Bhavan on November 15. At least one lakh supporters would attend the gathering, the party said. DMK leaders will be invited to this event.
LDF is up in arms against the governor seeking legal and political moves after Khan openly declared war by challenging the vice-chancellor appointments and even seeking removal of state ministers. He recently trained his gun on chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan by recalling the controversial gold smuggling case. Khan even wrote to president Droupadi Murmu that Pinarayi did not inform him about the foreign trips.
Pinarayi and CPM has been keeping a good rapport with DMK head and Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin.
