CPM to consider Ariff's remark against Aritha Babu after election result
Alappuzha: After the election, the friction within CPM is intensifying in Alappuzha. The moves made by a group of party workers against minister G Sudhakaran escalated the issues. The CPM district secretariat also decided to examine the remark made by MP A M Ariff against UDF candidate Aritha Babu.
The issues in LDF started after candidate selection in the district. An allegation arose that some of the leaders intentionally tried to defeat the party candidates. A faction of leaders alleged that the video showing Ariff’s poster being pasted after tearing posters of G Sudhakaran was circulated ahead of election to create controversy.
The other faction alleged that this controversy was raised targeting Sudhakaran. The minister is annoyed even after he led the campaign in Ambalappuzha as per party direction. He may publicly express his disagreement on this matter.
Meanwhile, the district secretariat discussed the mean remark made by AM Ariff against UDF candidate in Kayamkulam Aritha Babu. An allegation arose that this remark was made intentionally. The secretariat decided to consider this issue after the election result is announced.
