Thiruvananthapuram: It is confirmed that CPM will take action against Shoranur MLA P. K. Sasi on the sexual allegation charges against him. CPM staged a probe into the complaint filed by a woman member of DYFI Palakkad district committee. Party secretariat members P. K. Sreemathy and A. K. Balan carried out the investigation.

The probe commission recorded the statement of both the complainant and P. K. Sasi twice. The report prepared based on the statements will be put for discussions in the CPM secretariat meeting on Friday. A formal decision on what action need to be taken against Sasi will be arrived at this meeting.

However, the secretariat has no power to take action against him. The CPM state committee to be held on Saturday will decide on the action against Sasi.

It is learnt that an action against him is assured as the complaint is about sexual abuse and the woman is firm on her stand.

Sasi claims that the complaint is part of the conspiracy to damage his political future. Some others who spread the complaint against Sasi also are likely to face action.
