Thiruvananthapuram: CPM has suspended DYFI leader JJ Abhijith from its primary membership after observing allegations against him. Earlier, a woman activist moved a complaint against Abhijith alleging that he misbehaved with her. Amidst this allegation, a voice clip related to Abhijith’s age came out on Saturday and triggered a fresh controversy.
Following this, CPM took action against the DYFI leader.
Earlier, the Nemom area committee decided to demote Abhijith from area committee membership to primary membership over the woman activist’s complaint. A meeting chaired by district secretary Aanavoor Nagappan took a decision regarding this. But following this move, some members alleged that Aanavoor is trying to protect Abhijith.
Meanwhile, the party was forced to take strict action against Abhijith after the voice clip triggered a controversy. The voice clip revealed that Abhijith forged the documents to prove his age as 26 to continue in the post of SFI district secretary. He revealed that he prepared the documents as advised by Aanavoor Nagappan.
