Thiruvananthapuram: CPM has stated that Jose K Mani faction should be included in the Left Democratic Front. The state secretariat entrusted the State General Secretary to resolve the concerns of the allies and reveal the party’s stance in the LDF meeting.

Jose K Mani announced his decision to join LDF the other day. However, several unofficial discussions were held ahead of this. As a result, an understanding was reached on the subject.

The party secretariat stated that Jose K Mani faction’s support is crucial to ensure LDF getting re-elected. Hence, including them in the alliance is the right decision.

Party secretariat reached the conclusion that Jose K Mani faction has to be included as an ally in the LDF. Meanwhile, a discussion on the allotment of seats for the assembly election has not taken place. Secretariat has decided to approach the subject with caution as it can lead to heated arguments.

The party secretariat also decided to take a final decision on this after discussion with all the other allies. As per the discussions held with Jose K Mani faction, CPM decided to give the Pala seat to Kerala Congress. But this has to be approved by LDF.

CPM will hold talks with the second largest party in the LDF, CPI, first. The discussion which was supposed to have taken place on Thursday was postponed to Friday. Topics including the Kanjirappilly seat will be discussed during Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s meeting with Kanam Rajendran.
