CPM Party Congress: Funds to be raised directly from public

Kannur: CPM Kannur district secretary MV Jayarajan declared that funds for the 23rd party congress will be raised directly from the public. The groups formed to carry out activities of the party congress will collect funds.

4,371 such groups were formed in Kannur district. In a press meet, the secretary informed that cash will be collected from houses on February 27 and 28 while funds will be raised from traders on March 11 and 12.

March 1 to 10Family unions are scheduled in 4,452 centres of Kannur from the branch level.
March 10 to 15231 local level public speakings and honouring the early leaders of the party.

From March 1830 seminars led by state-level and national-level leaders, cultural conferences; sports and literary festivals have been scheduled in Kannur.

MV Jayarajan said that the campaigning materials of party congress have been damaged in many regions of the district. The party workers shall maintain caution on this. Regarding the murder of CPM activist Haridasan, the secretary said that the involvement of RSS is evident in the case and the statements of the accused reveal that many attempts were already made to kill him.
