Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said that the state government and CPM were communalising renaissance. He was inaugurating the one-day hunger strike staged by UDF leaders, alleging CPM-RSS conflicts were turning Kerala into a lunatic asylum.
Chennithala criticized that government and CPM were twisting histories. The government had forgotten the leaders of religious minorities who lead renaissance in Kerala, while organising Women Wall. RSS and CPM are trying to make Kerala a lunatic asylum through religious and political fascism. Chennithala stated that this was most serious problem in Kerala.
He also said that communalism must be opposed by secularism. He alleged that the government divided people according to caste and religion. He pointed out that the government which divided Kerala in the Sabarimala issue is trying to continue it.
If Pinarayi Vijayan feels that permitting women to Sabarimala temple at midnight was a brave action, he is wrong. Chennithala added that CPM was helping BJP to strengthen its roots whenever the party is weakened.
