TVM Corp row: CPM faces flak as another letter seeking party workers emerges

Thiruvananthapuram: Another letter discussing appointment of CPM workers in Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation has come out.

The letter, sent from Corporation to the CPM District secretary, requests a list of potential candidates to be appointed for 9 vacancies at SIT hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. The letter is from Corporation Parliamentary Party Secretary DR Anil to CPM District Secretary Anavoor Nagappan.

The letter dispatched on October 24 contains details of staff appointments to be made through Kudumbashree in the rest centre built for the patients' aids in the hospital. The letter demands party leadership to submit a list of Kudumbashree members eligible for appointment. The rest centre has nine vacancies, including manager and caretaker.

The letter with the salutation, Comrade, contains details of various vacancies, qualifications and salaries. DR Anil is the CPM Parliamentary Party Secretary and also the Standing Committee Chairman of the Public Works Section of the Corporation.

Earlier, a letter was allegedly written (on official letterhead) by Mayor Arya Rajendran to CPM district secretary Anavoor Nagappan, requesting a list of candidates for 295 temporary vacancies, has come out.

However, both Rajendran and Nagappan denied the matter. BJP and Congress have decided to seek the resignation of the Mayor for breach of oath.

The letter with the salutation, Comrade, requested the CPM leader to submit a list of party members to be appointed in 295 vacancies in various posts in the health department.
