CPM doors open; Jose K Mani to hold discussion on Wednesday
Thodupuzha: As the CPM have given out a green signal, the Jose K Mani faction of Kerala Congress (M), which was ousted from UDF for not obeying its directive relating to Kottayam district panchayat president post, has begun preparations to join LDF. Jose K Mani has convened an emergency meet of the steering committee to discuss the invitation on July 8, Wednesday, as CPM instructed to decide on it immediately.
Meanwhile, the verdict by election commission over the Kerala Congress (M) authority will be pronounced on July 7, Tuesday. It will put an end to the debate on the party symbol and official entitlement for one of the two factions. The steering committee meeting is expected to also discuss on the verdict and future plans.
CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had the other day said that the party will discuss on Jose K Mani faction joining LDF once they clear their stand.
However, a section of workers within Jose K Mani faction is of the stance that they should continue with UDF. The major task in front of Jose would be to convince them and bring along everyone to join LDF.
