Thiruvananthapuram: Many reports have emerged that the allegations against LDF convenor EP Jayarajan took centre stage on the final session of the CPM state meeting, which had been happening for the last two days.

Jayarajan reportedly replied to the resort-linked allegations raised in the party meeting held on December 2022. According to him, the allegations are only aimed at personal attacks. Kannur district leadership had dismissed the allegations after examining them, reports quoted him.

Jayarajan is accused of illegally acquiring property and building a huge resort and Ayurvedic establishment in Kannur. The allegations were in limelight with the narrative that CPM state committee member P Jayarajan raised it. However, P Jayarajan later maintained that he is not aware of the matter.

It was alleged that when EP Jayarajan made the accusation earlier, some changes were made in the company, including in the director board. EP Jayarajan’s wife PK Indiara and his son are on the director board. Property worth Rs 30 crore was acquired to build the resort and Ayurvedic village, the allegations added.

CPM had play downed the allegations. But now, the party has decided to probe the matter. Reports said the party will attempt a balancing act to acknowledge both EP Jayarajan and P Jayarajan.
