Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM has taken a different stance than the state government in connection with the protest staged by PSC rank holders outside the Secretariat.

In a CPM secretariat meeting, the party instructed the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to take immediate action to resolve the matter.

The meeting held in presence of the CM recommended that he need not lead the conciliatory talks, instead ministers concerned will meet with the protesters. The move is to prevent the Opposition from using the opportunity politically in their favour.

Minister EP Jayarajan responded that the measures taken by the government will be conveyed to the protesters. “The door is kept open for protesters. They can approach us for talks anytime,” he added.
