S Rajendran
Idukki: An inquiry commission appointed by the CPM has found out that former MLA S Rajendran tried to ditch incumbent Devikulam MLA A. Raja in the assembly elections held this year. With this revelation, the party is likely to take action against Rajendran.
Adimali, Munnar, and Marayoor CPM area committee members had given statements to the commission against Rajendran. The allegation is being investigated by a two-member commission appointed by the district committee.
It was alleged that Rajendran tried to defeat Raja in the election through racial segregation in his constituency. Rajendran is an influential figure from a prominent caste in the Devikulam constituency. It was also alleged that Rajendran wasn’t active during the election campaign.
The statement given by the area committee members confirmed all the allegations levelled against Rajendra were true. In this situation, the party is sure to take action if the report of the inquiry committee is submitted.
