Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader VD Satheesan alleged that CPM colluded with Sangh Parivar in ending the investigation into Gold Smuggling Case ahead of the 2021 Assembly Elections. Without naming Shaj Kiran, the opposition leader asked why the state government is reluctant to question him.

"The case was not investigated by the central agencies due to the secret agreement between CPM and Sangh Parivar. Then why is BJP holding protesting against the government?

Their leaders are just trying to trick the people. Both had already come to an understanding on the matter," he said.

"No case is investigated at present. The probe is ongoing against those who filed a complaint. Shaj Kiran is not questioned even after CM and party secretary was named by an accused of dealing with Hawala money," he added.
