Kozhikode: Since May 4, 2012, CPM has been relentlessly trying to attack me personally over my political stands, says RMP leader and MLA KK Rema during a brief interview with Mathrubhumi.com.

Speaking about the recent ruckus in Kerala Assembly that left her injured, Vadakara MLA said that a protest became physical after members of the ruling front targeted her and her party.

"The move against the opposition MLAs in assembly was mostly aimed at myself and my party. At first, it seemed to be a normal issue that occurred in the assembly. However, I realised by the end that I was the one who was targeted. Some tried to use physical force to push me and drag me away. I am astonished by the decisions taken by the police when they arrested the opposition MLAs," she said. She alleged conspiracy behind the Watch and Guard staff physically restraining her.

She also criticised CPM for levelling baseless allegations and false propaganda on injuries she sustained during the ruckus in the assembly.

Rema added that CPM state secretary MV Govindan has to backtrack his claims that she faked injuries. " The party-backed (CPM) newspapers by citing medical reports claimed that I was not injured. The party secretary made claims based on these reports. However, the X-ray shared by them is not even mine. Otherwise, also, I don't need to prove its authenticity. It is the duty of the doctor and the hospital to prove whether it is fake or not. The government is liable for medical documents getting leaked from hospitals," she pointed out.

She alleged that CPM has always created false propaganda, made fake claims, and twisted known facts to protect its stands and keep opposing voices at bay.
