CPI state executive committee meeting to take political stance on controversial issues
Thiruvananthapuram: CPI will hold a state executive committee meeting to discuss the controversial issues including gold smuggling case, protest against KT Jaleel and Kerala Congress (M)’s LDF entry.
The executive committee meeting will commence on Wednesday.
CPI leaders have disapproval regarding the stances of the government and Chief Minister in various subjects. The leaders also expressed their disgust on avoiding CPI in the Sree Narayana Guru idol unveiling event in Thiruvananthapuram.
It is reported that many CPI leaders are disappointed over KT Jaleel’s links with the UAE consulate. But as the election is round the corner, CPI will not disclose the dissent with the government. But these matters of concern will be discussed at the executive meeting.
However, CPI has not taken a stand favouring the entry of Jose K Mani faction in LDF. CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran appealed to his party followers to accept Jose K Mani. Hence, the decision on this matter will be crucial at the meeting.
Kanam has already declared that there is no need to compromise with the protests against Jaleel. CPI will take a decision based on this. However, CPI is unlikely to take a stand supporting KT Jaleel completely.
