Vijayawada: Kerala faction of CPI condemned general secretary D Raja at the party congress in retaliation to criticisms raised against Kanam Rajendran.
The organisational report noted that the party system has weakened. During a discussion over the report, Minister P Prasad demanded the national leadership to find who has responsible for the party’s redundant state. “Commander should step back if a battle has been lost,” added P Prasad. Without mentioning the name of the general secretary, Prasad said that being an office-bearer is not a fancy post.
The delegates from other factions appreciated the performance of the Kerala faction and criticised the national leadership. National executive member Kanayya Kumar’s resignation from the party was not included in the organisational report.
