CPI decides not to oppose the entry of Kerala Congress (M) into LDF
Thiruvananthapuram: CPI executive committee has decided not to oppose the entry of Kerala Congress (M) into LDF. Jose K Mani had made his political position clear after resigning from MP post. CPI executive committee decided to stand by the united decision taken by LDF.
There is no point in opposing the entry of Jose K Mani unlike in the past. He has already resigned from the MP post provided by UDF and walked out of their alliance. Jose K Mani and his party have declared that they are willing to join hands with LDF. CPI decided not to oppose their entry to the front in this context.
CPI will take a position similar to the others in the LDF meet, which will be held on October 22. CPI will stand by the decision, if CPM and other allies decide to take Jose K Mani’s party into their front. If the decision is to enter into an understanding with Kerala Congress (M), CPI will support that also. Kanam Rajendran had stated in an interview earlier that Jose K Mani joining LDF will benefit them.
