Kozhikode: LJD state chief MV Shreyams Kumar reacted to the LDF’s decision to allot the Rajya Sabha seat to CPI. Addressing the media here on Saturday, Shreyams Kumar stated that CPI used their bargaining power to get the seat.
"We are now keenly watching the CPI's position on issues like K-Rail, the tweaking of the Lokayukta rules and also the liquor policy. What I understand is in the just ended assembly session, the CPI members had a different position on issues," said Shreyams Kumar.
Elections to fill 13 Rajya Sabha seats across six states will be held on March 31.
In Kerala, the elections are being held as the terms of senior Congress leader A K Antony, K Somaprasad (CPI-M) and M V Shreyams Kumar (LJD) will expire on April 2.
