Ottapalam: In a tragic incident, a 22-year-old Palakkad youth succumbed to injuries he suffered when his bike collided with a cow. The deceased has been identified as Panamanna native Krishnaprajith.
The incident happened around 7:30 pm on Veetambara-Panamanna road on Saturday night,
According to police, the bike collided with the bovine that was straying on the road. The bike lost control and overturned. The youngster was tossed off and the horn of the cow pierced his chest. The onlookers rushed him to a nearby private hospital but he died.
Meanwhile, the cow also died on the spot due to the impact of the collision.
