Thiruvananthapuram: Former Chief Minister of Kerala and CPM veteran leader VS Achuthanandan has been discharged from a private hospital here on Monday after COVID-19 treatment. The doctors confirmed that his health condition is satisfactory.
He was admitted to the hospital on January 20 after testing positive for COVID-19.
Earlier today, the veteran leader’s son VA Arun Kumar took to his social media page and informed that Achuthanandan is showing signs of improvement. In his social media post, Kumar wrote that he too turned Covid-19 positive on Sunday. While Achuthanandan’s wife also tested positive on Sunday.
Achuthanandan has been avoiding public events and visits since the beginning of the pandemic. The CPM veteran was tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday. He contracted the virus from a nurse who was treating him.
