COVID +ve cancer patient, who contracted virus from hospital, succumbs to infection
Alappuzha: One more person succumbed to COVID-19 in Kerala. Alappuzha native Rajam S Pillai (74), who reportedly contracted the disease from a hospital during her cancer treatment, died on Monday.
She was undergoing treatment for breast cancer for more than a month at a private hospital in Kochi. She tested positive for COVID-19 on July 17, during the treatment.
Four people who were part of Rajam S Pillai’s contact list also tested positive for COVID-19. This is the third COVID death to be reported in the state on Monday.
