Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday said that Covid vaccine will be provided free in the state.
“We need to think about the availability of the coronavirus vaccine but the government has no intention of levying a charge for the vaccine. It will be provided free of cost, Pinarayi Vijayan said while addressing a press conference.
Pinarayi Vijayan ridiculed KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran’s allegation that the CM and his aides were trying to influence the BJP national leadership using a fortune teller from north Malabar, who has close links with the saffron party.
Pinarayi Vijayan said that it would be better if the Congress leader viewed and responded to things in a serious manner.
The CM also responded to the allegations raised by the opposition that he was missing from the election campaigns.
“Campaigning means gathering of people. It is not desirable during the pandemic. If a meeting that I am attending attracts a large crowd, I will be blamed for it. My campaigns were held online. I have not distanced myself from the people nor have they from me,” the CM said.
