Covid vaccination: College students, private bus staff to be prioritised

Thiruvananthapuram: The college students in the state will be given priority for Covid vaccination. The health department issued an order directing to prioritise the students aged between 18 and 23 years for vaccination.

The college students who go abroad for education also will get the priority. Earlier, the chief minister had made it clear that vaccination of college students will be completed on priority basis and classes will be resumed.

The government order has made it clear that the migrant labourers, private bus employees, mentally challenged people, and employees of secretariat and assembly house will be prioritised for Covid vaccination.

Earlier, 56 categories of people were prioritised for vaccination. Meanwhile, the new order was issued including the new categories to be prioritised for the vaccination drive.
