Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has decided to conduct Covid-19 vaccination drive on all days of week except Wednesdays. The inoculation drive will be carried out in general, district, taluk and public health centres.
In primary health centres and family health centres, the drive will be carried out only on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It has been decided in the meeting presided by health minister Veena George to conduct the drive in the aforementioned manner from January 3 to 10.
To make vaccination centres for children easily identifiable, pink colour boards will be displayed. Vaccination centres for adults will be displayed with blue colour boards. These boards will be displayed at the entry gate, registration point and inoculation room of vaccination centres.
Meanwhile, the registration process has already started. Children in the age group of 15 to 18 years can register. The drive starts from January 3 and special team will be deployed for it. From January 3, Covaxin for children will be provided.
The concerned authorities recommends that the eligible individuals to complete registration through CoWin portal before going to the vaccination centres. However, spot registration is also available.
