Ramesh Chennithala
Thiruvananthapuram: Congress veteran Ramesh Chennithala slammed the government over its handling of Covid-19 surge and health minster Veena George’s remark on TPR. According to Chennithala, the health minister is showing double standards.
He criticized that health minister now reveals TPR does not suggest Covid-19 situation has gone out of control which is contrary to her earlier stand. Chennithala reiterated the PR work of government of framing it as efficient in Covid-19 handling.
Chennithala alleged that citizens are asked to limit the wedding function invitees to 20 people while CPM conferences are attended by 185 individuals.
He also said that when Congress protested and was involved in social work last time, the workers were booked for floating Covid-19 norms. They were also labelled as ‘sellers of death’, he reminded. Comparing this to CPM conferences, he put forth a question what the CPM workers should be called now.
