Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that relief camps have been opened in the disaster-hit areas and concerned authorities should ensure that Covid protocols are followed in the camps.
The people staying in the camps should wear masks properly and maintain social distancing. People should not interact closely inside the camps. It should be examined how many people can be safely accommodated in each camp. The collectors have been directed to increase the number of camps, if more people need to be shifted, the chief minister said.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department informed that heavy rainfall accompanied with lightning is likely at isolated places in all districts of Kerala in the next 3 hours. Gusty wind at a speed of about 40 kmph is also predicted.
