COVID-19: Strict action in Ernakulam; disease transmission reduces in Chellanam
Kochi: The Ernakulam district administration informed that there is considerable decline in the COVID transmission in Chellanam, one of the clusters that had a threatening state. In a press release issued after the review meeting, the administration stated that the strict restrictions and intense resistance activities helped in reducing the rate of disease transmission.
Meanwhile, the meeting held under the leadership of minister V S Sunil Kumar decided to take strict action in Ernakulam district as disease transmission through contact continues to increase. Apart from imposing a curfew in Aluva and nearby places, the restrictions in other clusters also will be intensified.

All private hospitals closed after COVID transmission will be fully functional from Thursday. The private hospitals that have facilities for COVID treatment should treat people in critical condition too. Patients should be sent to medical colleges only after informing in advance.
