Court to hear Jayarajan's anticipatory bail plea today
Thalassery: A day after CBI listed him as an accused in connection with the murder of RSS activist Kathiroor Manoj, CPI-M Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan on Friday moved a fresh anticipatory bail plea in the Thalassery sessions court. The court will consider the plea on Saturday.
In the bail application, Jayarajan says that Vikraman, the main accused in the case, was not his driver and Vikraman did not have driving license.
He also says that he is suffering from health problems and there is a possibility that the CBI may harass him after arresting him.
The bail plea also questions the invoking of Section 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention)Act against him.
The report submitted by CBI at the court says that Jayarajan was the main conspirator who planned Manoj’s murder. The court had rejected the anticipatory bail plea submitted by Jayarajan before he was named accused.
