Court extends Bineesh Kodiyeri's custody period for 5 more days
Bengaluru: The custody period of Bineesh Kodiyeri has been extended for 5 more days after he was produced before court in connection with drug case. Enforcement Directorate told the court that they could not interrogate him properly as he exhibited physical discomfort and demanded an extension of 10 days.
Bineesh Kodiyeri admitted in court that he was suffering from physical uneasiness. He said that he vomited 10 times and that was suffering from serious back pain. ED told the court that he did not cooperate with the interrogation and that due to his physical condition, they could not interrogate him for 2 days. ED also produced Bineesh’s medical examination reports.
Bineesh was produced before court by 5 pm after his 4-day custody period came to an end. Although ED applied for him to be presented via video conferencing, the court dismissed the application.
Bineesh was taken to Bowring hospital near Shivaji Nagar by 1 pm for his medical examination. He was taken to court after testing for COVID as well.
Bineesh Kodiyeri was interrogated for 4 continuous days in connection with the Bengaluru drug bust case. It was after this that he complained of physical discomfort and was taken to hospital.
