Court dismisses plea seeking to cancel Dileep’s bail in actress attack case
Kochi: The trial court has rejected a plea seeking cancellation of actor Dileep’s bail in the actress attack case. The court declared that the bail granted to Dileep, accused in the case, will not be revoked.
The prosecution has approached the court to revoke Dileep’s bail claiming he had tried to influence the witnesses in the case.
In the plea before the court, the prosecution argued that Dileep tried to influence the witnesses, including those in film industry. But the court dismissed all these arguments.
According to reports, the court rejected the petition observing that the prosecution did not produce any evidence to prove their arguments against Dileep.
The Kerala High Court granted bail to actor Dileep in the controversial actress attack case with strict conditions. While granting bail, the court restricted him from influencing the witnesses.
In the petition before the trial court, the prosecution argued that Dileep violated the conditions.
Meanwhile, as the trial court rejected the plea, the prosecution can approach the High Court to cancel the bail granted to Dileep.
