Court dismisses Dileep’s plea to hand over visuals
Angamaly: The Angamaly Magistrate Court dismissed the petition filed by actor Dileep seeking all evidences, including assault visuals, to be handed over to him. The Angamaly court also shifted the trial of the actress attack case to the District Sessions Court.
The court said it will not hand over the visuals that was demanded by Dileep in the actress attack case agreeing to the prosecution argument that if given, there are chances that the visuals could be misused to again humiliate the actress.
Earlier, the court had allowed Dileep to view the visuals following which Dileep raised the suspicion of visuals being edited and demanded the copy of the visuals for further examination.
The CCTV visuals relating to the attack were earlier handed over to Dileep along with forensic reports, call details and other documents as per court’s instruction.
The court had earlier asked the police too to file an affidavit in response to Dileep’s petition. The police too were not in favour of the visuals being handed over to Dileep, who has been named as an 8th accused in the case.
