Kollam: A couple was killed here on Thursday in an accident that happened at Kalayanadu Junction near the National Highway stretch.
The deceased have been identified as Sini Lalan and her husband Lalan.
The incident happened at around 9 AM.
Lalan, on a two-wheeler, was taking Sini to Chaitanya School, Kalayanadu, where she had been working as the principal.
The bike collided with a lorry and the couple drifted off and died on spot.
Police have taken the lorry driver to custody and are probing the exact cause of the accident.
The dead bodies of the couple have been shifted to Punalur Taluk hospital.
