Coronavirus: No annual exams till class VII; public functions to be stopped
Thiruvananthapuram: The Cabinet which met here on Tuesday decided to cancel the annual exams till VII standard and not to hold any classes in the wake of the state coming under corona scare after 6 cases were confirmed in the last few days. There will be no classes till VII standard and vacation has been declared for students till 7th standard.
The direction is also applicable for anganwadis.
However, there is no change in the exam schedule for 8th, 9th and 10th standards.
Schools where annual exams are going on will have to cancel the remaining exams.
The cabinet also decided to exercise extreme caution and be alert till the end of this month.
A direction has been issued to stop all public functions in the state in the month of March immediately in the wake of the coronavirus scare.
