Thiruvananthapuram: In connection with a controversy that erupted over the chief minister’s signature, action has been taken against a woman official in the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department. The deputy secretary of the department was transferred to the Social Justice Department.

BJP spokesperson Sandeep Warrier had disclosed a file from this department and claimed that it had a forged signature of the Chief Minister.

Though the file came to light as per the RTI act, it is suspected that the details of the same was handed over by the deputy secretary. As per reports, the government sources have received evidence in this regard. Following this, the deputy secretary was transferred.

The woman official’s name was included in the transfer order of six employees, including deputy secretaries and undersecretaries at the Secretariat.

Though the Chief Minister had given an explanation after the controversy, a probe was initiated to find out how the file was leaked. This resulted in the action against the official.
