Kozhikode: The police have filed a non-bailable offence case against BJP state president PS Sreedharan Pillai for his controversial speech over the Sabarimala issue. The case was registered by the Kozhikode Kasaba police.

Sreedharan Pillai had made controversial remarks over Sabarimala issue in his speech during a Yuva Morcha State Committee meeting. The case has been registered over a complaint filed by Shaib, a native of Nanmanda. The complaint states that Pillai instigated the tantri and BJP activists for contempt of court.

Pillai had revealed that the issue at Sabarimala was a golden opportunity for BJP and also added he provided legal advice to tantri to close the nada if any young women enter sabarimala temple.

He also said that the everyone fell into the agenda created by the BJP and a well-initiated planning was executed during the protests at Sabarimala.
