New Delhi: The relaxations to the Covid-19 regulations for Bakrid were given after consultation with the experts, Kerala told the Supreme Court on Monday.
The traders are allowed to open their shops at selected locations only. Protocols are being followed thoroughly, the state informed the top court.
PKD Nambiar, a Keralite from Delhi earlier today approached the court against the government's move to relax the rules for celebrating Bakrid.
The court sought a response from the state and asked to file the same today itself. The case will be heard on Tuesday.
Kerala denied that the allegations and stated that shops are already allowed to open and the present relaxations are not related to the festival, it argued.
