Construction worker's body on 12th floor of the building
Kochi: In a freak mishap, a construction worker was crushed to death after a beam under construction collapsed on him. The deceased is identified as West Bengal native Sanjiv Singh.
The mishap took place at Vidya Nagar in Ernakulam on Thursday at 12.30 pm. The body was trapped on the 12th floor of the building.
The locals, police and fire force personnel jointly carried out the rescue operation.
A case has been registered over unnatural death. The body was shifted to Ernakulam general hospital.
