Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday postponed hearing of the anticipatory bail plea of actor Dileep to Friday. The prosecution told the court that it has to submit a detailed affidavit in the case. Dileep is accused of conspiring to attack the investigating officers in the actor abduction and sexual assault case of 2017.
The court accepted the demand of the prosecution and postponed the case.
Meanwhile, it will hear the bail plea of Sarath, a friend of Dileep, on Tuesday. The Crime Branch officials had initiated a raid at the house of Sarath on Monday. He is the owner of the hotel Surya.
Though Sarath was summoned by the police, he did not turn up. Instead, he approached the HC seeking anticipatory bail. In the bail plea, Sarath repudiates his connection with the case and said that attempts are being made to topple the case.
The prosecution may submit the statement of Balachandra Kumar and the evidence collected in a sealed cover to oppose the bail plea.
Meanwhile, the confidential statement of the mother of 'Pulsar' Suni will be recorded on Tuesday. The mother had released a letter, purportedly written by Suni from jail. The letter contained many revelations regarding the case. Police are investigating the details in the letter as well.
